Day Three (Beaubourg District):Discover this area's history & the issues raised by its regeneration which began in the 1970s.
Les Halles: The former site of Paris' much-loved food markets, its redevelopment remains controversial.
Pompidou Centre: This arts complex opened in 1977 has been far more successful than anticipated, requiring major renovation to cope with visitor numbers.
